Barry Johnson…

Today we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Barry C made a great post yesterday titled, “What does tomorrow mean to you?”. Barry C made the statement that the lessons of Dr. King have been lost on today’s society. That instead of seizing the opportunities provided by those like Dr. King, people have instead chosen to “blame their economic insufficiencies on others”. Barry C explains his position even further in today’s episode.

Another great news article today became a post on the blog. We are always asked at our short sale seminars about what criteria we use to decide which properties we will take on as short sale clients. One of the main criteria is that we will not take condos or townhouses with homeowner/condo associations. As you can see from the post titled, “A Short Sale Nightmare – Why We Don’t Buy Condos”, it becomes very clear why we choose to stay away from them.

We closed the show today talking about a blog series we are doing titled, “Sun Tzu and the Art of the Short Sale”. If you have not had the opportunity to read Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, it is a MUST read for anyone in the business world. The strategies and teachings are timeless and often forgotten in the “heat of battle”. Barry C makes the correlation from Sun Tzu’s teachings and how we perform short sales. Keep checking back to the blog for more in this series.
