On today’s show we talked about the news from Trulia.com regarding their agreement with real estate powerhouse Prudential. Also joining us on the program was Mark Eibner from Brokeriptv.com discussing the use of video in your blogs.
We kicked off this episode with the latest in the world of real estate news. It seems that Trulia inked a deal with Prudential to showcase ALL of Prudential’s 140,000 listings on Trulia.com. The deal was struck at Prudential’s Real Estate Affiliates national convention in New Orleans. Even the President of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Laurie Keenan said that “Trulia… is a great place to showcase our listings”. Barry C and I discuss the possibility of this becoming the aggregation of all real estate listings in a single, free place. Maybe Barry C was right, “Can It Be Long Before The Fall Of The MLS?“.
Next we had the opportunity to interview Mark Eibner from BrokerIPTV.com. Mark is no novice to either real estate nor technology and he brings these two together at his new website. Mark says that this may mark the beginning of Real Estate Web 3.0. He is a huge proponent of blogging and using video in your blog. He discusses the technology used to SEO online video as well as Google‘s plan for indexing them. If you are a real estate “techie”, this is the interview for you.
We spent some time today talking about Barry C’s new blog post titled, “Success Is A Matter Of Perspective“. In it he talks about how some of the greatest athletes known to man achieved personal greatness as part of a team.
We closed the show discussing yesterday’s interview with Broker Bryant. We wanted to get different views from people who had a chance to listen to the show and did not want to influence their opinions. Well, you get ALL of our opinions in this episode. I don’t understand this. All we had here, in this interview was the failure to dollarize. Both Bryant and Barry C. agreed about the value brought by REALTORs to the transaction.
