On today’s episode we discussed the latest in real estate news including the NAR spin machine and a new Redfin report. Also we had interviews with two well know real estate blogosphere owners, Todd Carpenter from Blog Fiesta, and Jeff Corbett from TheXBroker. This makes another Blogging Thursday on Real Estate Radio USA.
We started off the show with a fantastic article from Seeking Alpha called, “How Counter-Productive Is Realtor Association Spin?“. This lead us into an interesting article from The NYTimes. Seems that the bottom line is that sellers are not being realistic, and the National Association of Realtors is only exacerbating the problem.
Our first interview today was with Todd Carpenter form lenderama, Blog Fiesta, REMBEX, Inman, and many other sites. Actually Barry C’s first question to Todd was if he actually slept. The answer was no by the way. We covered a range of topics including video in blogging, promoting connectivity between blogs, and the effect of Google PR.
Next we got to spend some time with Jeff Corbett from The XBroker. Jeff’s plan to change the mortgage and real estate industry though transparency is well under way with his widget called Ratespeed. Jeff is a breath of fresh air to an industry that has been hard hit by publicity in the last few years. As with Todd above, we covered a lot of ground with Jeff today. Check out this episode and find out all about it.
