On today’s show we talked about the real estate gold rush and where to prospect. Our guests on this blogging Thursday were The Phoenix Real Estate Guy, Jay Thompson and our regular guest Mary McKnight from RSSPieces.com. Another exciting episode of Real Estate Radio USA.

We started the show with an article from USA Today regarding bargain hunters and the boost they are giving to home sales. We spoke with Realtors such as Nikki Holmes and Sidney Allenger in Auburn, California who are mastering this part of the market.

Our first interview today was with The Phoenix Real Estate Guy, Jay Thompson. Jay is an elder blogger in the real estate world with over 3 years experience. Jay talked with us about how he got started, how he decides what stories to write about, lead conversion, and generally having a good time blogging.

We closed the show Mary McKnight from RSSPieces.com. Mary again wowed us all with her extensive knowledge about SEO and blogging in general. Mary covered such topics as duplicate content around the web, map based IDX solutions versus the more traditional form approach, and how to generate more leads.

    There are some good places to prospect in Maryland for real estate.

    Johns Hopkins University is currently developing a huge biotech campus in east Baltimore. This area is in the heart of the ghetto and many speculators believe this will completely transform the area.

    BRAC jobs are moving into Aberdeen Maryland. They expect an influx of 5,000+ jobs (civilian and military) to come in. Currently this area of Maryland does not have the housing infrastructure for this base realignment.

    Frederick Maryland is the fastest growing city in Maryland and it is equidistant between DC and Baltimore. I expect housing prices to jump here over the next three to five years.

    Stephen, I know Baltimore well and millions more watched the Wire on hBO…seems that Baltimore has a lot of opportunity.
