On today’s show we spoke about the latest in real estate news including the most expensive house ever sold and hard money lending is on the rise. Also we interviewed author and economic prognosticator Peter Schiff from Euro Pacific Capital and Jeff Harris, General Manager of PropertyPreviews.com. All of this and more on this episode of Real Estate Radio USA.
We started the show today with the story about the sale of the world’s most expensive home. At $753 million, the Russian billionaire who bought the property on the French Riviera got a great deal.
Our first interview was with the President and Chief Global Strategist for Euro Pacific Capital, Peter Schiff. Peter painted a pretty gloomy picture of the US housing market by predicting that we will not see a noticeable increase in values for the next 10 years. He also spoke with us about housing indicators, how the market has been and will be affected by new legislation, and his book, “Crash Proof, How to Profit from the Coming Economic Collapse“.
Our last interview of the day was with Jeff Harris, the General Manager for PropertyPreviews.com. Jeff talked with us about the product, how he can keep it free to users, all of the features, and how video enhances the perceived property value. Interestingly, Barry C wrote a post about Property Previews a few weeks ago titled, “Free Video Service for Realtors And Real Estate Investing Professionals Launched“.
We closed the show with a story out of California concerning a trend everyone in real estate needs to get used to, the re-emergence of hard money loans. With the tightening credit markets and even stricter lending standards from traditional lenders, private money loans are making a comeback.
