On today’s show we talked about the latest in real estate news including an interesting article from Newsweek and also an interview with Dr. Dani Babb regarding the housing market as it pertains to the upcoming Presidential elections. All of this and more on this episode of Real Estate Radio USA.
We started the show with an article in Newsweek regarding the increase of searches in certain real estate markets from around the country. The article, titled “Where Bottom Fishers are Fishing?”, was attacked by the RE.net for no reason we can understand. We would have thought that buyer’s coming back into the market, in any form, would be hailed!
We closed the show today with an interview with Dr Dani Babb. Dr. Dani spoke with us today about her thoughts regarding the upcoming elections and how they will affect the housing industry, the candidates stance on housing issues, and issues still facing the industry as a whole.

We don’t need government intervention, what we need are more jobs for American workers! If more people had jobs, there wouldn’t be a foreclosure problem.
I’m also a real estate investor, and my problem is that sure I can find great deals in homes to buy, but the problem is that I can’t find anyone who can afford the rent to live in any of my homes. So what happens is that now I find myself sitting on five mortgages that I have to cover with my own money. And with no end in site or at least with any clear idea as to when things will turn around, I’m going broke and may find myself going into foreclosure before it’s over. So as an investor, the uncertainty alone keeps me from investing.
