Seriously, this information floored me. Backed up by a Career Builder survey, most real estate agents struggle to earn more than waitresses.

It’s unbelievable data. According to the National Association Of Realtors the average real estate agent makes a little bit less than $2,500.00 per month.

If you are a relatively new agent, you’re likely to make less than $900.00 per month. If you’ve been around the block awhile the NAR says that you’re probably going to make about $4,500.00 a month.

So by using the numbers from the NAR, it seems that now that we have reached the midway point of 2009, the average real estate agent has banked somewhere between $5,400.00 to $36,000.00 in total commissions thus far this year.

Can You Believe That The Average Real Estate Agent Makes Less In An Entire Year Than The Average Profit On Just One Short Sale Deal?

So that leaves me asking just two questions:

1. If that’s what you’ve made thus far…do you find it affording you the lifestyle you desire…and more importantly

2. If you aren’t even banking this much in commission, what do you think the rest of your year is going to look like?

Do you realize that an AVERAGE short sale deal…just one…could have made you more than what most real estate agents make in an ENTIRE year!
