Seriously, remove the word free from your vocabulary. Wonder why there is so much spam on Twitter, it’s free. Why is there so much spam in your email box…yep there’s that free word again.
Business is not supposed to be free…maybe some information is, but not business. Could you imagine opening a pizza shop and expecting the ovens, and the ingredients to be free? Of course not, but then why do so many people online expect things to be free.
Well here’s something that won’t break the bank but will provide a long lasting residual return on investment. It’s nothing new, it’s the good old press release.
I’m not going to spend a whole lot of time on it as I want these tips to be brief and then you need to take the initiative and perform your own due diligence but I will say this in support of what I just wrote.
I wrote a press release nearly two years ago. Even the website that we ran the promotion for was taken down…yet still, two years later there are over 1,600 instances of that press release driving residual traffic to the secondary site mentioned in the release.
Whether you are a Clickbank affiliate, designing an information product, looking for the perfect niche market, or selling real estate, a press release remains a tool of great value. And best of all most of your competitors wouldn’t think of using it. It actually has a cost to it.
