I realize my comment isn't related to revenue one can make from posting on HubPages but if I may, I would also like to point out that HubPages has gone down hill to put it lightly, in regard to content they allow to be posted by members. If you look through some of the articles by some members, there are blatant attacks against people of religious faiths within them. If you go to their religion and beliefs forum, attacks against faith beliefs, especially those of christians is rampant and while I feel opposing views should be expressed, it should not be taken to the level HubPages is allowing. This is far from being only my opinion and this fact has been posted by lots of other people on blogs and other site forums, especially by HubPage former members who left the site for this very reason.
The administrators at HubPages can do what they like I suppose but I believe they will someday reget it because it will at some point seriously affect their reputation, as more people and regious groups get wind of the bigotry against religion that is going on there.

Hi Bill and thanks for your comment. You must have found a REALLY longtail keyword. Ranking is one thing...anybody can rank. It's traffic and conversions that matter. Hope it's working out well for you. What's the niche?

It depends on what you are marketing. my squidoo pages are always first on google right along side my website pages so its fun to rank for several spots on the first page of google. i think that it has done nothing but help my marketing strategy. of course if you are selling spammy things like weight loss pills and home mortgage relending and credit repair there is a ton of other keyword rich sites that are way ahead of you so good luck on getting rank with those type of writings no matter where you write them.
