I really don’t recommend fasting to lose weight fast. While you can be successful in meeting that objective, you need to be very careful and make sure that if you do decide to begin fasting to lose weight that you do so under a doctor’s supervision.

With that being said, I do know that fasting does work if done correctly. Fasting can be a very natural method of losing weight quickly. You also don’t have to go full bore right away. A very effective way to fast is to fast 3 days per week and on your fasting days, drink juice.

You can also do daypart fasting where you decide to not eat any solids after 12 Noon. The results are pretty amazing as your caloric intake drops you lose weight. It’s a pretty simple way to lose weight.

But the problem comes in when you stop fasting. While you may have a drastic and sudden weight loss, it will be quite temporary as you body rebounds due to the fact that you really did not modify your behavior. Most diets work because of a commitment to behavioral modification.

I doubt you are going to fast forever so unless you have a plan for your caloric intake after your fast, more than likely the weight you lost will come right back.

Rather than fasting to lose weight, most doctors advise their clients to begin exercising and to modify their diet. After all, you did not pack on the pounds overnight and you’re not going to be able to shed them overnight either. The good news is that you most assuredly can win the battle of the bulge.
