Marketing To Hispanics Will Be A Big Trend In 2010.

We are analyzing a number of trends that are forecast for 2010 and one that stands out and makes us take notice is the prominence of the Hispanic market. Hispanic consumers represent the fastest growing segment of the population of the United States.

The growth is astounding. Representing 25% of all new births in the U.S., this segment could have a major impact on Internet businesses. Recent studies indicate that the Hispanic market is actually spending more time on the Internet than their non-Hispanic counterparts.

In fact, the Hispanic consumer would rather be online than watch television. 70% of Hispanic consumers describe themselves as simultaneous Internet users and say that they are either frequently or always online.

While making up a HUGE population pool here in the U.S., Hispanics still regard the Spanish language as their primary voice.

As localized marketing is beginning to take a foothold, expect those Internet marketers who know what they are doing to put great emphasis on catering to the Hispanic market.

Have you been thinking about marketing to Hispanics? Have you thought of a few niches that would appeal to Hispanics? Maybe as a part of the planning for your 2010 business efforts, it would be prudent to include a website or blog focused on products and services that cater to a Hispanic audience.

What products do Hispanics use? That’s an easy question…the same ones everbody else does. This isn’t a racial equation or cultural impediment that you have to worry about troubleshooting. No, it’s a marketing focus.

Selling and marketing to Hispanics is more about approach than anything else. We have marketed to many ethnic groups. Our success has been in the approach. Learning the colors, style, graphics and message that conveys respect, understanding and sincerity.

You’re not looking to trick anyone into buying anything, you are just adjusting your message to reach and saturate a different audiences.

If you want examples of what I am talking about simply sit in front of the television for about 30 minutes. Watch your normal programs for 15 minutes, and then turn on a Spanish television network for 15 minutes.

More than likely you will see similar commercials. However, notice the subtle difference in presentation and delivery. Marketing to Hispanics or any other demographic is an art form. Learn how and you’re going to be able to write your own ticket…for a long time.

The great thing about Internet marketing is the relative ease of adaptation. Where it might take a bigger company months to spot an emerging trend and then act upon it, we can move quickly. If you’re reading this article, 30 minutes later you could have a business catering to a Latin audience.
