Top 10 Reasons You Need A Traditional Real Estate Agent

What are the top 10 reasons you would need to utilize the services of a traditional real estate agent? C’mon, you can think of a few..go ahead and try.

1. ?????

2. hmmmm

3. hold on..I’m thinking

4. just a second…it’ll come to me

5. man, this is a really tough

6. okay..I think I have one

7. naw..I just had to sneeze

8. can I get a hint?

9. I think I have got one…I really do

10. To show me how to get paid for doing nothing

Now before you get yourself in an uproar, this was in jest and the real intent of this post was to tell you about the effects of a good “buzz marketing” campaign. Buzz marketing can take your blog absolutely viral in a very short period of time. Imagine writing a post so compelling that 5,000, 10,000 even 30,000 people or more click on it to view it.

While this post may be a bit “toned down” as not to be too over the top, a really good buzz marketing campaign would be an article or post with the following:

1. A Headline that people just have to click on..I mean a KILLER headline. (i.e. ever pick up a copy of the National Enquirer, there’s a reason they have been around so long!)

2. Although we are in real estate, it has to have as massive of an appeal to as wide an audience as possible.

3. It should invoke some controversy or negativity…remember the cliche about news..”if it bleeds it leads”. If you are not comfortable with controversy, then AVOID buzz marketing. FYI…don’t slander or defame anyone or you could end up in a bit of hot water…and that’s not the kind of trouble and real estate agent operating a real estate blog wants to be in.

4. Remember..people love lists!

5. Let your imagination run wild! Sky’s the limit…expand your horizons and be as creative as possible

6. Enticement, Inducement..use these aspects to your benefit…people like being teased

7. You MUST find a great picture to punctuate and accentuate your post.

8. Be the triple threat.
a. write a great headline
b. write a compelling post and;
c. Make sure your blog has sizzle. Make sure it looks great and sets you apart from everyone else in your market.
“all the World’s a stage and we are merely players…each another’s audience”.

9. Try to do your best to write as if in the second person…this is sales…the customer believe it or not cares less about you, they want to know what you are going to do for them. Same thing with blog readers, what’s in it for them? They don’t care if you are a CRS, GRI..etc..etc..etc..

10. Think long term and try not to be dated. Once you post it, it’s out there..searchable..for what seems like forever. Ever look at your high school graduation picture…you want that floating around in cyberspace? Probably not so think about that when you are writing your buzz marketing article.

Lastly, don’t overdo it. As Brian Brady says…”you have to use every arrow in your quiver” and this is just one of those arrows, even if it is one of the sharpest.

Have fun with buzz marketing and drive some serious numbers to your blog.
