Naomi Campbell’s War Crimes Testimony About Blood Diamonds

Wow, there’s a story straight out of a Hollywood movie! Naomi Campbell has been testifying before a war crimes tribunal about receiving what may have been “blood diamonds” during a dinner with former Liberian ruler Charles Taylor.

She didn’t actually say that they were real diamonds and she tap danced around the question of whether Taylor actually gave them to her as shel was being questioned in Taylor’s ongoing war crimes trial.

It seems that the reason she is in this mess is because actress Mia Farrow snitched and said that Naomi got the stones from Taylor at a dinner party given by Nelson Mandela. Really? C’mon Mia…why ya gotta be snitching!

I’m being a little light with the subject but this is a serious trial. If she did indeed receive diamonds, the prosecutors in the case feel that it is conclusive evidence that Taylorr traded guns to neighboring Sierra Leone war lords in exchange for “blood diamonds” during that country’s 1992-2002 civil war.

Told ya this was good stuff! Naomi testified that she was woken up in the middle of the night who for no reason whatsoever gave her a pouch with the stones and left without saying anything.She said she wasn’t alarmed because she frequently receives gifts from admirers.

Hey Naomi, we’re not talking about what’s left on the nightstand the next morning…we’re talking blood diamonds here. And that’s the best you can come up with. Your testimony for receiving jewels that people have been killed for is “I got it like that”?

With all due respect, I agree, she is smoking hot and could easily be a Babe of the Day…but we’re talking a war crimes trial, not an appearance on America’s Top Model. Big difference.
