Why Is Rachel Maddow Insisting On Picking Fights With Bill O’Reilly?
Rachel Maddow is at it again. She seems to want to build some resemblance of an audience by trying to take on Bill O’Reilly. While I admire her willingness to march head on into the lion’s den. She’s a bit over her head.
Seriously, here is a woman who wants to make a name for herself by taking on the big dog in her industry. I get it. We’ve all tried to boost ratings or readership by flaming or baiting a more popular adversary, but at this point her antics are beginning to look a more like a WWE undercard.
Yeah, O’Reilly’s thrown some stones and called her a “far-left loon”, but unfortunately, the shoe seems to fit.
“This time the case against me is in his nationally-syndicated column, which I’m sure is read by millions and millions and millions and millions and millions of people,” Maddow said, recently responding to a column penned by O’Reilly.
O’Reilly’s column was written in specific response to Maddow’s appearance with David Letterman earlier in the week, during which she called Fox News “slimeballs” and repeated her case that the network stokes white viewers’ fears about black people.
Well Ms. Maddow, let me tell you something. I’m a black conservative and we’re not all as rare as the Loch Ness monster or Bigfoot. We truly do exist. I don’t feel that O’Reilly is trying to amass an audience of fear mongers.
I think that if people open their eyes and see what’s going on in this Country they can see for themselves and see where were headed.
Subsequently, O’Reilly called her out on her outlandish remarks and said that Maddow went on a “preposterous … paranoid, dishonest rant“. Which she indeed did.
He also said that she proffered not a single “shred of evidence” to support her statements. So Maddow responded in the same manner that most do when they have nothing intelligent to say, she spouted off like a whiny school girl by saying O’Reilly was “stupid“.
C’mon MSNBC, that’s the response that your journalists make when asked to back something up? Maybe that’s the reason you’re getting crushe din the ratings, and the underlying reason people like Maddow have to resort to circus tricks to get ratings.
Ms. Maddow, you want to put O’Reilly in his place? Put up some evidence to bolster your claims. To do anything to the contrary just renders you moot and not worth watching.
She doesn’t provide any evidence because she doesn’t have any. She says the ACORN debacle wasn’t true..REALLY? She says that we should not be afraid of our pockets being rifled through and that a concerted effort of welath redistribution is no true…REALLY? She says that the government is not enacting one social justice program after another to appease the minority vote… REALLY?
Just exactly how would Maddow describe all of this? Change we all can believe in? Not me. It’s not anything that I believe in and hopefully we can do something about it before it’s too late.
