On August 28th, would have been Michael Jackson’s 52nd birthday. August 29th 1958 at 7:33 PM in Gary, Indiana, Michael Joseph Jackson was born. Thousands will be honoring the King Of Pop today, and tonight.

There will be impromptu dances, celebrations, and more somber gatherings all over the world. It was over a year ago, when Michael Jackson’s death, from cardiac arrest following an overdose of propofol shocked fans around the globe.

Even Google will commemorate Michael Jackson’s birthday on it’s logo today.

Says one fan, “He will never die for us, he will live forever in our hearts and in our music, his legacy will forever be cherished.” And indeed, his influence has been felt before his death, and will continue in the music industry for many years to come.

In Riverside County, California, there will be an attempt to set a record for the most people to dance to the late Michael Jackson’s song, “Thriller”.

The huge mass dance first set the record in 2009 in Mexico City, which holds the record for over 15,000 dancers.

So far, the organizers have only 1257 people signed up. They are hoping for bigger numbers.

After the anniversary of his death, it is the anniversary of his birth fans are celebrating, so that the memory of Jackson will always be with his fans.

Fans can cry, critics can criticize, but everyone can see the indelible mark he left in the entertainment world and beyond. It is not given to everyone to make history with music notes and dance steps.
