Jackie Evancho Amazing On Semi-Finals Of America’s Got Talent

Jackie Evancho has done it again. The young girl with the voice of a classic opera star has not disappointed. Her performance in tonight’s America’s Got Talent Semi-Finals left many simply in awe.

Her version of Con te Partirò brought everyone to their feet and may have even caused a tear or two to be shed. She certainly makes you have goosebumps. (literally meaning “With you I will leave”) is an Italian Classical Crossover song written by Francesco Sartori (music) and Lucio Quarantotto (lyrics).

It was first sung by Andrea Bocelli at the 1995 San Remo Festival and recorded on his album of the same year, Bocelli. The single was first released as an A-side single with “Vivere” in 1995, topping the charts, first in France, and then in Belgium, breaking the all-time record sales there.

Somebody better call Andrea Bocelli and let him know about Jackie Evancho. She’s so good you sometimes wonder if she is lip-synching. She’s that good.

Ok, so who’s it going to be? Jackie Evancho or Prince Poppycock? My money is on Prince Poppycock. Not because Jackie Evancho is undeserving. No far from it. I just think that she needs a bit more polish to headline a show.

Sure there have been a number of great acts on this season of America’s Got Talent. In fact I was amazed by some of the acts including ArcAttack and the college boys from Fighting Gravity.

However no one comes close to Jackie Evancho and Prince Poppycock. It’s basically a two-horse race at this point.

Prince Poppycock on the other hand is magnificent and already has shown that he can be as over the top as any Las Vegas show ever produced. Liberace has nothing on Prince Poppycock.

Either way I think next week’s season finale will be a great show. I applaud all of the contestants and I know we’ll be hearing more for years to come from both Jackie Evancho and Prince Poppycock.
