Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Purchase $40 Million Abode In Valpolicella, Italy

Well, it seems that the Brangelina’s are house buying again. This time an estate in Italy. Now this normally wouldn’t raise an eyebrow, considering the Hollywood power couple’s intake of enormous sums of money for their block-buster movies.

What does seem to raise the ire of many folks, is the fact that the pair espouse the “simple life” and have done so many times.

When Angelina has gone into a poor country, such as Pakistan, where she is now, helping to promote the plight of those unfortunate people whose country was ravaged by flooding, that is an incredible and self-less thing to do.

It is saying a lot about your character by giving of yourself to the betterment of others. And adopting babies from around the globe, you cannot fault her for these wonderful acts of kindness.

But just please don’t call a press conference and basically scold the entire Western world about how we live, when you have just purchased a $40 million dollar castle in Valpolicella, Italy.

It just doesn’t come across as genuine. Most of the people on the planet will never even see a palace such as this, nevermind live in one. But that’s just one of their estates.

How about the one in Brignol, called Chateau Miraval in the south of France? That one set the duo back much more than the palace in Italy, $70 million.

It’s called Chateau Miraval in a village called Brignol, which is near from Aix-en-Provence, and it’s absolutely unbelievable.” Angelina gushes.

“Brad and Angelina are thrilled, they love the place and have already been furniture shopping to fill the place as it’s massive. They’ve already spent almost another million on furniture and the whole family can’t wait to move in.” claims one of their insiders.

“Ponies and goats graze in the nearby fields. The house is surrounded by a forest so they’ll have total privacy, which is exactly what they’re after.

No one will ever be able to get pictures of them relaxing at home, it’s just impossible.

The couple’s neighbors include Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis, and U2 singer Bono. How very cool, huh.

Then we get an interview on September 9th from Angelina, dressed up in traditional Muslim garb, with scarf for her head, draped beautifully over her head, to address the world about the wingnut in Florida who wanted to burn the Koran.

She called a press conference to tell us all that “I cannot come up with words to describe this action.” Okay. Aren’t those words? Just sayin’. Seriously, what was up with the garb? I get that she’s an actress, and maybe playing dress-up is fun, but she just looks kooky.

Nothing new there. It would be great to know that she, as our Goodwill Ambassador has indeed helped needy people around the world by raising awareness of their different issues in the many countries she visits. I’m sure it does, actually.

And hubby Brad is doing a yeoman’s job in New Orleans trying to bring back awareness of that city’s plight after five years from the ravages of Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is a hot mess, and Pitt is there with his sleeves pulled up, helping to build new homes for the homeless left from this terrible tragedy.

The question here is simply this. Live your lives, let your actions speak for themselves, but please don’t preach to the world about how we need to be living, that we should all just be simple folks helping one another, not to aspire to wealth or riches, because that’s bad, just look at these poor, poor people! How can you groundlings out there live with yourselves and see this injustice? Reality check, please!

Hey guys, just continue forward, keep your opinions to yourselves, or hire a speechwriter, because your message gets lost when you are throwing around the kind of coin you are on ridiculously expensive homes around the world, filling them up with furniture, expensive art, and not walking the walk that you espouse for the rest of us.

Pitt purchased yet another home for the brood in New Orleans for a bare $3.5 million in the French Quarter.

Let’s just let them be who they are, bless them for being good stewards of the poor, helpless, hurting people that come to our attention through the couple’s efforts…but enough already with the preach-y talk about how we ought to be living as responsible citizens of the planet. It just doesn’t ring true, in my humble opinion.

The nutjob in Florida has since said he will not be burning the Koran this weekend. And the Brangelina’s will move into their fabulous digs in Italy, and isn’t life grand?

Good observation but still, people do what people do which is talk, act and move on with their lives. People care, people don’t, people pretend. People also work for what they have, and some people whine about what they don’t have while some don’t bother to work for anything. If you had money, you’d spend it to your desires and if you have a clean heart, and time, you’d help out in any way you can. She has her cause, she’s always after it. She might say one thing and act the other, but shes a person. At least she does something.
