Another episode down and more predictions from the economists. Depending on who you ask, and their mood at the time, everyone has a different opinion about when the housing market will rebound. Here is a hint… Make things happen yourself and don’t wait for your surroundings to change, change your surroundings. As Barry C always says, “When you look yourself in the mirror tonight ask yourself if you did EVERYTHING you needed to do today to become successful, and be honest.” If the answer is anything other than “absolutely”, then you have some soul searching to do.
Most of the episode today was based upon Barry C’s latest blog post, “Which Agent Would You Call?”. We asked the question, “What is your business?”. We want to show everyone that the answer SHOULD be “Marketer”, “Advertiser”, “Master Salesperson”, and not agent or realtor. Talk about thinking outside of the box and showing yourself in the best possible light, look at a guy like Dave Weiss. Dave is married to Risa who is the “Star” in the video Barry C rated A in the blog. His website is http://www.werockchicago.com/ and he actually gets it. He talked to us about how he came up with the concept of the video and how he got it done. Definitely worth listening to day’s episode to hear what Dave has to say.
We ended today’s episode with the latest news release from NAR, the National Association of Realtors. In their press release they touted the that Realtor.com was the most visited real estate website. In the article they list the 10 most visited real estate websites. What was the most interesting to us were the other sited that were visited. Looks to me like people would go to Realtor.com to search for properties, then they would use the other websites to do their research. I say again, if I can find all of this information online, it is even a LARGER reason for agents to change and become more relevant.
