On this Friday edition we covered the latest in real estate news including new news form the Mortgage Bankers Association, new Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lending limits, with interviews with Greg Swann from Bloodhound Blog and then Erik Wesoloski, our resident legal advisor.
In the world of real estate news today there was an interesting report from Diana Olick at CNBC. The short version is that real estate sucks and it is not getting any better. Jump off of the tallest building in the town near you. I am just kidding, maybe. Also in we talked about the new lending limits set for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that will allow the government sponsored enterprises to buy much higher-priced mortgages. The new loan limits will stay in effect through the end of this year.
We have been talking about this interview for a couple of weeks now, and boy did Greg Swann deliver. Greg, from Bloodhound Blog, joined us today to talk about Unchained, the social media marketing conference set for May 18-20 in Phoenix, Arizona. Greg talked about everything from what we can expect at Unchained to Mary McKnight’s comment about he being her “Nicole Richie”. Listen to Greg’s interview to hear all about this and much, much more.
Our trusted legal counsel, Erik Wesoloski, joined us for another edition of ”The SideBar” today. In addition to keeping us abreast in what is going on in the real estate legal world, he talked to us about the growing practice of lenders asking for deficiency judgments.
