Real Estate Radio USA Episode 154

July 11, 2008

On today’s show we had our first ever “Green Day” show where we brought on guests to talk about the trend towards ecologically friendly homes. We had a number of guest today talking about the green housing movement. The first was Josh Dorfman from The Lazy Environmentalist, the second, Jessica Jensen from Low Impact Living, and then Frank McKinney, our favorite real estate artist. All of this and more on this episode of Real Estate Radio USA.

Our first guest of the day was The Lazy Environmentalist, Josh Dorfman. Josh spoke with us about how anyone can be more environmentally conscious without effecting their lives in a major way, how to find the right furnishings to make or stage your home eco friendly, and some things that you can be doing right now to make your home green.

Our second guest of the day was Jessica Jensen who runs the largest green home site online, Low Impact Living. Jessica came on the show to talk with us about how to go green in a home you don’t own, what you need to know about all the “green” products on the market, and what it means by knowing your carbon footprint.

We closed the show today with real estate maverick and artists, Frank McKinney. Frank was nice enough to join us again on the show to talk about his creation called Aqua Liana, the world’s first ever green mansion. Frank came on to talk to us about the process he had to go through to get Aqua Liana certified, some of the green features of the property, and where he sees the impact of this movement going.
