Janet Case is co-founder and CEO of Proxio, Inc., a new online service for real estate professionals worldwide that combines MLS and networking technologies in a novel platform. Janet’s interest in real estate began very early; she bought her first investment property at the age of 19 and has bought and sold many since. It was her first international purchase three years ago, an old farm in France, which inspired her to re-think the MLS for an international audience as a solution to serious market inefficiencies. Proxio’s service was launched 3 months ago in Europe and already over 500 agencies in 24 countries have registered and begun using Proxio.
Before starting Proxio, Janet spent 6 years as CEO of two large Realtor Associations in Silicon Valley, with over 7000 agents in hundreds of brokerages. In this role she also ran an online real estate forms company and participated in the governance of the local MLS.
