NASCAR 2011 Video Game

When I used to live in Daytona …yeah..I lived in Daytona …I would be startled out of bed on some mornings quite early by the roar of what I came to find out was the engine of a stock car barreling around the oval at speeds of 200 miles per hour.

If you’ve never heard the engine of a race car speeding around a track at speeds that could make you puke, then you have not witnessed NASCAR.

From that point on I was hooked. I was lucky enough to watch my first race from a luxury box owned by the local Budweiser distributor and other than the food and cold beer, it was like any other tailgate.

That is until I stepped out of the skybox and put on my NASCAR scanner headset. Man…it was a whole new world out there.

So when the video game came out, I had to have it and much to my surprise, it was a ton of fun. We bought the big wheel and even bought the gas pedal to really accentuate the fun, but that was a few years ago. Now with all of the technology and the unbelievable sound and graphics, it’s like being back in Daytona.

Now, on February 15, 2011 they are releasing the newest version of the NASCAR 2011 Video Game. They are releasing it in all three versions (Wii, PS3 and XBox) and from all of the attention it’s getting, you might want to pre-register to make sure you get a copy.

What’s really cool is they are not charging an arm and a leg for it either. The top price I saw on Amazon was only $59.00 or so. That’s not bad at all for as much fun as it brings. I’m talking hours and hours of playing.

It’s kind of mesmerizing as once you get into it you may find yourself seriously thinking your driving all 500 miles of Daytona.

So let’s talk about the game itself and give you some of the particulars:

Review: The Kodak Playsport Zx3 is a great unit for the price.

The camera does very well underwater, as you can see from this amateur photographer’s example. In this video, you can see how clear the subject matter is, and how quickly you can move from one frame to another. The audio is crystal clear, as well. Here is what this videographer had to say about the camera.

I shot this using the Kodak PlaySportZx3 while snorkeling off of Ixtapa, Mexico. The water wasn’t the clearest, but I did get pretty good results. It looked really great in the pool. It also looks great above water! I use it at my son’s baseball games and I have been amazed at the quality. Hands down the best thing about this camera is the size. It’s so easy to slip in a pocket and just carry around. Great little vacation camera. My only complaint is that the control wheel is a little small. I would often accidentally stop recording while trying to zoom in or out. You get used to it though and it is a minor annoyance. I highly recommend this camera.

Negatives: A small percentage of users complain about the camera, some noting that with rapid movement it can become jumpy.

Freedomsoft Or Freedomsoft Reloaded…Whatever… Save Your Money!

Let me first say that I don’t get paid to write a review of Freedomsoft or it’s new incarnation, Freedomsoft Reloaded. In addition, let me also state that I have nothing personal against Preston Ely or Pete “The Ninja”. In fact, much to the contrary.

I am submitting this review because I have been inundated with emails and calls from our readers, listeners and viewers. So I was compelled to write a review of Freedomsoft Reloaded. I’m not one to just say yea or nay without a lot of background, so hence this review is quite lengthy. So settle in.

I admire both of them for a very well thought out and slickly produced sales presentation. In seeing one launch after another we have been seeing some good promotional material and some really bad crap. These guys obviously have some serious skilz in regards to presentational marketing.

Now for the reality check. If you’re in the target demo of this launch, then you’re dead in the water BEFORE the autoresponder comes back with a confirmation number on your credit card. Sorry..it’s the truth. Now let me tell you why.

1. Where’s The Beef?I heard a lot of sizzle but I didn’t hear any beef in the presentation. Ok, it does this and it does that and it does a half a dozen other thing…and as Preston says, it’s a click of a button all the way until you get your check at closing…but do you have any idea how that’s going to happen?

Have you ever purchased a property? There’s a lot of things that need to happen before you see a check in your hand…and trust me, that ain’t automated.

2. I Can Drive But I Ain’t Gonna Win The Daytona 500!- I’m not sure what your experience is in real estate but it’s an absolute no-brainer buying a property these days. I’m not sure if you know this but there’s some kind of a phenomenon going on right now called a Buyer’s market.

Anybody can buy a property today. Yes, I said anybody. There’s no skill needed in buying a property. Seriously, there isn’t.  I can parachute into any neighborhood in the Country, with you strapped across my back and buy a property.

And I can do so within 24 hours. There’s no trick in that and the knowledge needed to do so can easily be ascertained. (and you don’t need a wrapped Hummer to get people to sell you or even GIVE you their properties)

3.  Bill Gates Isn’t A Realtor! – Bill Gates developed arguably the biggest software company in the universe, but even he couldn’t design a software system that would get a Realtor to answer the phone and do a deal on complete autopilot. It ain’t ever gonna happen. I don’t care what testimonial or video you’ve seen.

Think I’m lying, hop over to Active Rain … it’s a place where Realtors hang out…you know, the people who control most of the listings…and see what the demo is of the people you’ll be dealing with. Oh…and by the way, check out the advanced software and cutting edge technology they have implemented over there. I’m sure they’re going to love your Freedomsoft created contracts and snazzy way of presenting those killer deals.

4. The Pony Express Doesn’t Deliver Anymore!- I hear a lot about direct mail with Freedomsoft. Sounds great. Do you know how to manage a direct mail campaign? Do you know what the average saturation needs to be? Are you advanced at skip tracing? Oh and yeah…do you know how much it costs to mail a letter and a postcard? Let’s see…if you have a mailing of 100 letters. And you mail them each week..what??

You thought that people simply respond to the first letter they get? Do you know what the average response rate for direct mail is nationally? What if I told you it was 1%. Now let’s say you have a nice 4 color, graphically intense letter or postcard to send out (btw..does Freedomsoft create letters and postcards for you or will you be sending out the same lame letter the others in your area will be sending out…but I digress. Let’s say you send out 100 letters and you get 1 call back..well you do the math for a well planned dirct mail campaign

5. FortmyersHomesforsalebyfred.com- Okay, so you are going to have a website created that will automatically be seen by millions of people. Really??? Think so…have you ever tried to rank or promote a website before? Does Freedomsoft do keyword research, handle backlinks, bookmarking, SEO..etc. And yet, you expect people to find some website hosted on Freedomsoft..Let me whisper softly to you…it ain’t ever gonna happen.

6. Ever See A Fresh Kill On A Safari? – If you ever get a chance to visit Africa, be prepared to get a real lesson in the survival of the fittest and how the food chain actually operates. First, the weak get eaten and secondly the less than strong hang around waiting for the big cat to have his fill. Then all the others can nibble and fight over the carcasses.

That’s sort of like real estate investing. What I mean is, I don’t know how Freedomsoft is going to allow you to compete with the big cats in the market. Do you think that Freedomsoft will afford you the opportunity to get the best deals before anyone else does? Of course not!

The only deals that newbies see are the ones we have picked over, stepped on and left behind. Now you may get a call from that guy who knows you’re uncle and thinks you can do something to help him…but that’s a hard way to make a living..isn’t it?

7. Ever Get A Sit Down With A Mafia Kingpin?Hopefully you haven’t and hopefully you’ve only seen how it goes in the movies, but it’s not like you can stroll into Mafucci’s House Of Canolis and just sit down with Frankie Bighouses. Well the same goes for REO agents. You do realize that there is a ton of money to be made buying and selling foreclosures right?

But do you really think that Freedomsoft is going to impress the REO agent who doesn’t take a sit down with just anybody? Here’s a hint. Before you buy Freedomsoft, give a few a call and tell them you’re wet behind the ears and ya wanna get jumped in. Hey, I know it sounds stupid. About as stupid as it is to think that Freedomsoft is going to get REO agents to pick up the phone and call you about a deal. For reference, please see # 6 above.

Now we get to the most important aspect of real estate investing. Like I said above, ANYBODYcan buy a house. But you’re not getting involved in real estate or looking at buying Freedomsoft because you want to buy houses. No..you’re looking at this program because you actually want to make money in this business…right?

8. Colonel Sanders Took The Secret Herbs And Spices To His Grave – I could name a bunch for this analogy…Col. Sanders, the Google Algorithm (although I’m getting close on that one)…you know..it’s all about trade secrets. Well, here’s the icing on the cake. You ain’t gonna make any money in this business if you don’t have a stable of ready, willing and able buyers..cash buyers, to sell to. End of story.

Unless Fredomsoft comes chock full with a list of cash flush, ready, willing and able buyers for you to begin pitching your deals to, then you’re dead in the water. And I have a very good feeling that Freedomsoft does not come with that feature. And I doubt it will in any upgrade.

You know why? Because anyone who has been in this business for any length of time, who intends on staying in this business, aint’ giving up their whales. Forget that, they ain’t even giving up their minnows! Want to prove me wrong? Ask Preston Ely or Pete ” The Ninja” to give you a list of names of cash buyers that they know who are actively looking for deals. See how many names you get from them.

So unless Freedomsoft Reloaded morphs into an intense hand holding coaching program wherein the guys take you step by step and show you how to do deals from step one all the way through closing with COMPLETE transparency, then I would surely pass on Freedomsoft Reloaded.

Now before my site gets bombarded and flamed with angry comments and they round up the pitchforks to come for an old fashioned lynching, let me just say this.

I think that both Preston Ely and Pete “The Ninja’ have considerable skilz and marketing prowess. From what I have seen, they also have seemed to have made some serious coin in real estate investing. So if I was going to work with them, I would tell them forget Freedomsoft, I would ask for a full on coaching and mentorship program. Now that’s what I would get from these guys if I was son inclined.

However, don’t expect that to come cheap. No one is going to just open their business to you. I would expect to offer them $6k – $10k to show you how its done. That will show them that you’re serious about getting into the game and it will be the surest way for you to make some money in this business.

As for Freedomsoft Reloaded, delete the 100 emails you’re getting that are promoting the stuff and trying to get you to buy it. It just isn’t going to get you anywher ein this business.

And that’s my opinion.

Squinkies – The New Hot Toy For Christmas

Are Squinkies the new hot toy for Christmas? It seems so. The kiddies are begging Mommie and Daddy for these tiny, adorable toys with all the accessories. In a revealing look, the toys are the latest hotness among tots.

Sony PlayStation Phone Has Surfaced With Their New Smartphone | Images

It’s real! Sony PlayStation Phone has surfaced as their new Smartphone with pictures. The long-awaited phone has not hit the markets yet, but it’s prototype looks like a doozy. The slick phone by Sony has all of the marks of the smartphone, people have been anticipating this release for some time. It seems that an employee may have leaked the picture to someone, and the buzz has begun again about the actual release date.

No-one is sure just when this will be, but all are saying it was just a matter of time for Sony Ericsson to get in the game of Smartphone technology. In the short-time, however, they are keeping mum about a real date for launch.

The phone has all the bells and whistles such as Goo0gle’s Android OS, who’s codename is Gingerbread, with a slick Sony Marketplace that will allow you to procure downloadable games online that have been designed for the Playstation platform.

Based on moves by rivals Apple, Nintendo (NTYDO) and Microsoft (MSFT), Sony now has no choice but to get into the game.

It is obviously a step beyond the somewhat generic Sony Ericsson phones the company has been delivering over the past decade. And, believe it or not, it can still carve out a market share in the modern market. Here’s how:

Create a premium brand at a premium price: Apple is interested in making their line of phones as simple and as cheap as possible. It also means that everyone has the same exact experience. There are no premium iPhones. The only thing a consumer can do is have more memory.

Sony has the opportunity to make a premium phone brand, something that connects well with the rest of the Sony universe, trusts the consumer to control their own environment, and makes the user feel like he or she is unique.

Apple is now viewed as what Microsoft used to be, so both seem like the lesser of two evils. Sony can, in short, be the adult bad boy of the phone game.

The device snapped up top (and in our gallery below) is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches.

The handset has a long touchpad in the center which is evidently multitouch, and the PlayStation Phone has shoulder buttons. For the Sony fans, there is no memory stick slot, however there is a support for microSD cards, so there will be no problem keeping your information intact.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Premieres From IGN [Video]

LucasArts has released Star Wars The Force Unleashed and the reviews are in. The vast majority of gamers are in love with the series, but there are some dissenters in the ranks. Among the dissapointed are the gamers who are saying that the game has a much lower standard than the first, and is much too short.

Also the critics are not happy with the presentation, claiming the game-play doesn’t offer anything new or exciting, and Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 is just a grab for cash.

A lot of people had problems with the first “Force Unleashed,” from the controls to the bugs. The team at Lucas took some of these gripes into consideration and updated a few core mechanics of the game, making “Unleashed 2″ a better-presented package. First off, the combo moves no longer require upgrades, with all of them being available at the beginning of the game. However, the Jedi skills still require a certain amount of Force Points to upgrade, which can be done twice for each of them. While it may be minor, “Unleashed 2″ also offers a refined interface, making things more easily accessible, while prettying up the game at the same time.

What is good about this is that the casual gamer will enjoy the striking graphics and relative ease of play, along with the storyline.
